Our department conducts research on diseases of the visual system (eyes), the most important sensory organ to receive information from the outside world in daily life, and apply the results of our research to the prescription of medications and the performance of surgery in necessary cases.We hope that this website will provide greater awareness of the medical care available at our department.

Medical care system
There are 32 beds in our ward, where medical care is provided to approximately 700 inpatients each year. We also see an average of more than 100 outpatients each day, and perform more than 1,000 surgical operations each year.Treatment policy
We conduct research on diverse eye diseases and continuously strive to prevent and cure visual impairment and loss of vision to assure patients of the best ophthalmic care.Areas of medical care
Our department is divided into many specialty outpatient clinic teams, including vitreoretinal, uveitis, corneal transplant, ocular allergy, glaucoma, squint/pediatric ophthalmology, ophthalmoplasty/eye socket, neuroophthalmology and cataract clinics, where we provide specialist treatment and conduct clinical research.Consultation hours

If you wish to visit a specialty outpatient clinic, you have to make an appointment for one of the first-visit consultation days (Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays), in principle.
