Our department handles all pediatric internal medicine diseases. We provide medical care for diseases in all fields, including collagen disease, immunodeficiency and other immunological diseases, hematological malignancy, nervous system diseases, renal diseases, endocrine diseases, cardiovascular diseases, infectious diseases, newborn/infant-stage diseases, metabolic/gastrointestinal diseases and genetic diseases. We also handle diseases requiring surgical procedures in a tie-up with Pediatric Surgery.Outline
Medical care system
We provide medical care to approximately 600 inpatients each year. Advanced treatment is performed for inpatients requiring pediatric specialist care.Treatment policy
We consider it important to quickly diagnose and treat child patients requiring advanced medical care in conjunction with related local hospitals. Thus, we closely cooperate with local hospitals to build a network that ensures the provision of specialist medical care quickly.Areas of medical care

Equipment
The Pediatrics ward includes an infection ward, and has 45 beds and 11 private rooms (of which, 3 rooms have beds incurring an extra charge). A bioclean ward with two beds is also attached to the Pediatrics ward, and these beds are used in case of hematopoietic stem cell transplantations.Medical care results
