ISO15189 certification
The Division of Laboratory and Transfusion Medicine of our hospital was certified as Japan’s first ISO15189 laboratory.ISO15189 means global standards for clinical laboratories that were established by the International Organization for Standardization in February 2003.
The acquisition of ISO15189 certification indicates that our (management) system, technology and capacity allow the proper conduct of tests that can provide accurate test results, thus meeting international standards.
(Only 82 facilities in Japan have been accredited as of March 2015.)
