We provide medical are based on patient-oriented algorithms, that is, evidence-based medical care. A transplant surgery research section is established in the Department of Gastroenterological Surgery I at Hokkaido University Graduate School of Medicine, and problems encountered in the clinical setting become assignments of the research section.

Medical care system

Our department is divided into four clinical teams of hepatobiliary-pancreatic surgery, gastrointestinal surgery, transplant surgery and pediatric surgery.
