The Department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology provides medical care for patients with digestive diseases and with hepatologic diseases.

Medical care system

Specialty outpatient clinics are established for digestive diseases and hepatologic diseases. Hospitalization treatment was provided to 1,644 cases in FY 2020.  

Treatment policy

Each disease is diagnosed as quickly and accurately as possible to provide appropriate treatment. We aim to improve patients’ treatment by cooperating with the endoscopy division and other clinical departments.

Consultation hours

Days for first-visit consultations at the Department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology are as follows:
  • Digestive tract diseases: Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays
  • Liver diseases: Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays
  • Biliary tract and pancreatic diseases: Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays
